Teenager-Gangsta-Bling YOU ARE A TEENAGER AND YOU ARE...LOVED, IMPORTANT, COOL, BRIGHT, YOUNG, SIGNIFICANT, NEEDED, WANTED, GOING SOMEWHERE, YOU'VE GOT A FUTURE THAT CAN BE GREAT NO MATTER WHAT YOUR PAST OR PRESENT IS, THINGS WILL CHANGE, GET BETTER, DON'T GIVE UP, WE ARE YOUR BIGGEST FANS! YOU ARE A PERSON THAT GOD CREATED AND HE HAS A PLAN FOR YOU! HE CAME TO US, DIED FOR OUR SINS AND ROSE AGAIN SO WE WOULD HAVE THE HOPE OF ABUNDANT AND ETERNAL LIFE NOW AND FOREVER! TALK TO SOMEONE WHO UNDERSTANDS: JESUS CHRIST.
@@@@@@@@ GANGSTA! Everyone listens to someone. If not your mom and dad, then who? How cool is this? They even had gangstas thousands of years ago...Proverbs 1:10-19 "My son, if sinners entice you, do not give in to them. If they say, 'Come along with us [peer pressure]; let's lie in wait for someone's blood [violence], let's waylay some harmless soul [bully]; let's swallow them alive, like a grave, and whole, like those that who go down to the pit [taking advantage of someone/hate/murder]; we will get all sorts of valuable things and fill our houses with plunder [stealing]; throw in your lot with us, and we will share a common purse' [beer money]- my son, do not go along with them, do not set your foot on their paths; Everyone thinks it's cool to be a little "gangsta", but look where you end up: "for their feet rush into sin [quick to get in trouble], they are swift to shed blood [fights/violence]. How useless to spread a net in full view of all the birds [it's a trap and they don't even realize that they have been caught]! These men lie in wait for their own blood; they waylay only themselves! Such is the end of all who go after ill-gotten gain; it takes away the lives of those who get it." Bottom line: IT'S A TRAP DESIGNED TO DESTROY YOU! TRAGICALLY, I HAVE SEEN IT HAPPEN. DON'T GO THERE! $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL- SHOW OFF YOUR BLING! Many kids use their hats and/or jewelry to show who they are. Some even try to impress others. Did you know that these things might indicate WHO YOU LISTEN TO for instruction and guidance? Check it out: "Listen, my son to your father's instruction and do not forsake your mother's teaching. They will be a garland to grace your head and a chain to adorn your neck." Proverbs 1:8-9 Hats and jewels may be cool and express who we are. But the most important and the most beautiful expression will be when we ditch our pride and start listening to our teachers, first at home and then in school, work, etc. And if you don't have a mom and dad at home to instruct you, remember your heavenly Father and Jerusalem from above, the mother of us all- the CHURCH. These are the teachers that will make us beautiful- forever! |
